  Date/Time: Thursday, June 30th, 4:30-5:45pm Location: Zoom   Topic/Skill: Grammar- Present Perfect Verb Tense Feedback provided to the tutee:  During the tutoring session, I began with a review of the verb tenses we learned during our last grammar session (Past Verb Tenses), and asked my tutee questions requiring her to recall her knowledge of the past verb tenses giving her direct correction and explaining why if she had errors with her use of the past verb tenses, or if she had errors in any other area such as pronunciation or sentence structure. Then we re-did the past-tense verbs activity we had previously completed in a past tutoring session, and I gave my tutee a chance to directly correct the mistakes she had made last time. Next , I began with a review of the present perfect tense, asking my tutee to provide examples of sentences using it and directly correcting any errors in her usage before moving on to the activity.   Date/Time: Thursday, June 25th, 4:30-5:45pm Location: Zoom   Topic/Skill: Casual Conversation (Productive Skills) and University Search. Feedback provided to the tutee:  I mostly used the recasting feedback technique to subtly call attention to my tutee's grammatical errors, as this form of error correction/feedback allowed the conversation to flow more smoothly, and the errors did not disrupt the meaning of what my tutee was saying. In terms of pronunciation feedback, I was a bit more nitpicky. When it came to mispronounced words, as they tended to disrupt the meaning or flow of the conversation, this was an opportune moment to quickly repeat the mispronounced word, have my tutee repeat it back to me correctly, ask if that makes sense, and move on. I also asked my tutee for feedback on how she is feeling and how effective the tutoring sessions have been, to ensure she is benefiting from them and remaining both intrinsically and extrinsically motivated.   Date/Time: Tuesday, June 23rd, 4:30-5:45 Location: Zoom   Topic/Skill: Past Verb Tenses: Past perfect continuous, past continuous, and past perfect simple Feedback provided to the tutee: I presented my tutee with a review in the form of a brief PowerPoint of the 4 past tenses, focusing on the past perfect simple, past continuous, and past perfect continuous. While writing this review, I asked my tutee to explain the tenses to me and give examples to ensure she understood each one before completing an activity. As a way to test my tutee's understanding, we completed an activity in which I read sentences in the past tense to her, and she had to fill in the blank given an unconjugated verb. I completed the first two questions with her, then let her answer the rest (she told me the answers verbally while I typed), and waited until the end to check her answers.   Date/Time: Wednesday, May 27 th, 4:30-6:00pm Location: FSU Student Union   Topic/Skill: Non-Countable vs Countable Nouns & Quantifiers, Conversational Speaking Feedback provided to the tutee: I presented my tutee with a review in the form of a brief PowerPoint of countable and non-countable nouns, as well as the quantifiers that should be used with each type of noun. After reviewing this grammar topic, I informally quizzed my tutee by showing various nouns in countable and non-countable forms and having my tutee fill in the blank with the best quantifier (e.g., "how much water?" vs "how many water bottles?"). This allowed me to give more indirect feedback during the review process by correcting slight errors in my tutee's recollection of this grammar topic while giving more direct feedback when asking the "quiz-like" questions.
